Texas Board of Ed. acknowledges diversity in Social Studies

“The Texas State Board of Education voted 11-3 to add elective courses to include Special Topics in Social Studies to include Mexican-, African-, Asian-, and Native American Studies…”

High school students can now take elective courses in one of the above fields of study to count as Social Studies credits toward graduation.
