Texas politics’ secret to staying hot and spicy? Secret’s in the sauce.

(“Rock Out” is the name of a pair of stilettos by Hourglass Footwear which are hand-painted à la Sriracha hot sauce.)

They’ll dump radioactive waste in Andrews and it’s no big thing. Chili pepper vapors in the air ARE a big deal and make headlines? I say, they stop dumping waste in Andrews and put a sriracha factory there instead. People’s sinuses will at least be cleared out. Goodness gracious. A bipartisan sriracha delegation? Really? Great use of tax dollars.

“State Rep. Jason Villalba, R-Dallas — who has led the charge to bring the Huy Fong Foods sriracha factory to Texas since residents in its current host city in California complained of itchy eyes and unbearably spicy smells — will be joined by state Sen. Carlos Uresti, D-San Antonio, who represents the district where most of the chili peppers needed for the sauce are grown. San Antonio or a nearby city could be a good fit for the factory’s location, Villalba and Uresti have said.” –Texas Tribune
