Instead of a documentary that discusses Stanley Marsh’s illegal actions and scandals, this documentary strives to highlight the art and artists that he hired.
In my humble opinion, the people who created the art that made Marsh famous never got as much credit as Marsh himself. People know who Stanley Marsh was, the Cadillac Ranch guy, but they don’t know who the actual people are who actually put it all together. As in their individual names. I personally know a few of them, and I never understood why Marsh didn’t have people sign their work. For instance, the people who made and installed all the funny, wonderful, mysterious yard signs in peoples’ yards all over the city of Amarillo. Let’s hope this documentary finally accomplishes the feat of giving credit where credit is due.
