Standing Up to Terrorism in Richardson

In response to the Sony hack, the Alamo Drafthouse movie theater in Richardson, TX decided to show a film about Kim Jong Il, a 2004 satirical documentary instead of The Interview. Scheduled for December 27th, Team America has a good cult following and there’d be a free screening of the film that day. From the movie theater’s website:

“So celebrate your independence this year with the Action Pack. We’ll have subtitles for all the songs and all of our favorite quotes, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to scream out “AMERICA! FUCK YEAH!” at the top of your lungs. And yeah, we will have American flags, red white and blue streamers, balloons, and more for everyone. And THAT is how true American heroes will be celebrating this year, but if you want to let the terrorists win…well, that’s your prerogative.”

Update: they have decided to cancel the screenings of Team America. It was a valiant effort on their part though.
