Transforming the Walk of Fame with #blacklivesmatter

People are making the Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard famous for a different reason: it can also be a place for activism. (I think.) Activists have made some of the empty tiles into tributes to those who have been victims of police brutality.

Not everyone agrees with this. Vandalog, a blog about street art, wasn’t jazzed about Indecline‘s newest venture on the Hollywood strip, calling it exploitation. It all raises the questions: Is it activism or capitalism? Can they be both? Is that okay?
